Golf Courses

Hole 1 - 9

The MILL

The Mill (is. Myllan) is a 9 hole course in MiniGarðurinn. On the last hole of the course, there is a huge mill that turns, which could prevent you from doing a hole in one. We got the mill from a bakery called The Mill (is. Myllan) in Skeifan before the bakery moved. Myllan was founded in 1959 and has baked bread and pastries for Icelanders for over 60 years.

The historical mill on the outside of the house in Skeifan has now got a new life and become part of one of the coolest holes of MiniGarðurinn.

The course is demanding without being unfair and everyone should be able to get through these 9 holes even though there are various hindrances on the way.

The par for the golf course is 22.

Laufás

LLaufás is a 9 hole field in MiniGarðurinn. It is named after the old turf farmhouse Laufás in Eyjafjörður. The Laufás farmhouse is a good example of the housing in a rich vicarage in the latter part of the 19th century, but it has an continuous construction story since the Middle Ages. Farm buildings have been reconstructed with regular intervals as seen appropriate.

In MiniGarðurinn, we have reconstructed the farm building and the artist Jói Fel painted it for us with his well-known mastery.

The course is demanding without being unfair and everyone should be able to get through these 9 holes even though there are various hindrances on the way.

The par for the course is 23.
